| DESCRIPTION | Content: • Gynaecological Cytology • Respiratory Cytology • Serous Fluid Cytology Routine Haematoxyling and Eosin stain • Identify problems that affect the quality of routine H&E stain • Demonstration methods for pigments (Perls Prussian Blue stain) • Demonstration methods for connective tissue fibres (Masson’s stain) • Demonstration methods for carbohydrates (PAS stain) • Explain pathologies of the cervix, respiratory tract and serous cavities Learning Outcomes: By the end of the study-unit the student should be able to: • Demonstrate the ability to follow practical instructions; • Plan and execute experiments according to the cellular pathology protocols provided; • Collect information in an organized and timely manner; and • Analyze and interpret cytology/histology results obtained.
