DESCRIPTION | Objectives: To enable students to undertake specific projects. Contents: The students will carry out independent research or participate in on going experimental work, prepare a written report and make a presentation of the research plan and preliminary results. This Study Unit will reinforce the depth of understanding of a particular component of the agriculture and food system by providing instruction and practical experience in planning and reporting of research. Students will also be provided with and opportunity to integrate communications skills. The topic of study will be determined in consultation with an IOA faculty member and the individual student. Students are responsible for making appropriate arrangements to confirm funding prior to registration for the course. Students may be expected to attend tutorial or special lectures.
