| DESCRIPTION | Students will need to conduct empirical research to fulfill the requirements of this study-unit. This study-unit provides the opportunity to develop and apply the concepts, techniques and skills acquired during the taught programme in addressing a problem or issue related to Digital Marketing Communications. Study-Unit Aims: - To enable students to acquire the ability to initiate and undertake meaningful research - To allow students to deepen their knowledge by undertaking a piece of research on a topic of interest in the general area of their postgraduate degree - To increase students’ confidence in applying the research process to a focused research topic making relevant choices in the process - To develop a critical understanding of the role of theory to practice and of analyses to conclusions and implications Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Demonstrate personal skills especially those of organisation, research, analysis and synthesis of information resulting from digital marketing and communications planning; - Evaluate the effectiveness of alternative potential solutions; - Compare and maximise the effectiveness of message exposure to the appropriate audiences with given contextual and financial constraints. 2. Skills: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Demonstrate ability at undertaking an original investigation into a problem in the area of digital marketing and communications; - Integrate various components of the degree programme; - Develop the skills of planning and executing a digital marketing and communications planning. |
