| DESCRIPTION | This study-unit will cover further uses of reflective tools with their application for ongoing development of professional values and practice. It will build on existing knowledge and teaching practice in community and further/higher education contexts through in-class teaching practice, peer observation, feedback to/from peers, and journals Study-unit Aims: This study-unit aims to build on the first year reflective practice study unit, including: - further reflective tools; - integrating ideas presented in other study-units, e.g. inclusivity for diversity of learners and learning styles; - the impact of different teaching contexts on personal professional practice. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Critically evaluate one©s own skills and teaching practice; - Give feedback on their own practice, as well as that of peers; - Evaluate how personal attributes and experiences affect teaching and learning in different environments with different student groups. 2. Skills By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Demonstrate self-awareness in the classroom and critical reflective skills; - Evaluate one©s own professional values.
