Students are given practical sessions to experiment with these three settings and then are given tasks for their sketchbook, where they have to show the difference between motion blur and freezing an action using the speed setting, shallow and deep depth of field for apertures as well as grain when using ISO. Students will be able to create their own images using the exposure triangle effectively to produce well exposed imagery.

The study-unit also covers composition and framing in photography which then helps students produce their final set of images. Students are also introduced to Lightroom and Camera Raw to affect basic editing skills and convert images from raw to jpeg formats.
