DESCRIPTION | - Good Manufacturing Practice - Good Laboratory Practice - Follow Standard Operating Procedures - Calibration of instruments - Documentation - Sampling - Testing Study-unit Aims - To ensure correct handling of hazardous materials. - To ensure safe disposal of any harmful materials. - To understand and know how to apply compounding and labelling techniques. Learning Outcomes 1. Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Perform practical functions in the most correct and appropriate way possible. - Understand the importance of safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials. 2. Skills: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Perform practical operations in the most adequate and accurate way required, using standard units of measures in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice. - Compound materials appropriately in a practical scenario. - Adequately and correctly label and package required materials.
