DESCRIPTION The study-unit offers students the experience of a practical placement. The placement provides the opportunity to undertake a reflective learning process within a real-scenario. The placement presents the application of pharmaceutical knowledge to different settings of pharmacy. It also puts forward the continuing learning process within a work setting.

Study-unit Aims:

To provide advanced experiential reflective learning in a practice scenario of pharmaceutical processes.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Knowledge & Understanding:

By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

Explain application of pharmaceutical principles in pharmaceutical processes
Use documentation of information and processes to generate actionable measures for process/service optimization.

2. Skills:

By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- establish a logic and systematic approach to reflective gap analysis reviewed in identification of weaknesses, and opportunities in pharmaceutical processes;
- appreciate team building and management leadership skills relevant to pharmaceutical scenarios.
- employ iterative thinking to develop views on change to match evolvements and shifts in norms and guidelines.
