TITLE New Testament Greek: Introduction

DESCRIPTION This study-unit introduces the students to the grammar of the New Testament. The students will first be introduced to the Greek Alphabet and will learn basic reading skills.
The student will then slowly be introduced to the Greek parts of Speech and the basic Greek Morphology.

Study-Unit Aims:

This study-unit is an introduction, and as such aims at teaching the students how to read the Greek alphabet and the Greek words.
It also aims at teaching the basic morphology of the Greek Verb and its conjugation, as well as the morphology of the noun and its declensions.
The study-unit will also provide the students with a set vocabulary to learn that is comprised of the most common words used up to 50 times in the New Testament.
As such, the students would be able to read from the New Testament and get a basic idea as to what the text is speaking about.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Knowledge & Understanding:

By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- Read Greek words and sentences;
- Understand basic Greek sentences and Translate into English;
- Identify the Greek parts of speech and the morphology of Greek words;
- Read the Text of the New Testament and arrive at a basic understanding is to the main gist of the text.

2. Skills:

By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- Read and understand basic Greek phrases and sentences;
- Read the Text of the New Testament and understand the main gist of the text.
