DESCRIPTION The writing up and successful submission of a dissertation is pre-requisite for qualification in this B.A. (Hons) degree course.

The main objective of the dissertation is to allow students to demonstrate their ability to plan, execute, analyse and report on a significant independent study or aspect of theology of their own choice. This Course gives students the opportunity to explore a specific area of particular interest and to develop further their skills of individual research and focused analysis. In-depth engagement with a topic, and sustained reflective writing is thus also expected from students.

The individual student chooses a topic and a tutor, which s/he proposes to the Faculty Board for approval. Under the guidance of the tutor, the student will write a long essay in which s/he develops this theme.
