La Cour de Strasbourg et la realisation d'une "Union plus parfaite" by Paul Tavernier Authors: Biad, Abdelwahab Abstract: What type of Europe for Human Rights? is a compilation of papers presented and discussions held during the conference carrying the same title, which took place at Rouen on 12 - 13 May 1995. The conference was organised by the Centre for Research and Studies on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (CREDHO) of the Faculty of Law at the University of Rouen. The book, which has contributions of human rights practitioners (in particular judges at the European Court of Human Rights) and scholars, provides the readers with an in-depth analysis of the various legal aspects (problems and remedies) of the European Convention on Human Rights. The principal concern in this examination of the European Convention is the evolving institutional architecture, mostly with the European Court of Human Rights as the dominant institution, and the manner in which it has performed the judicial function. 1997-01-01T00:00:00Z
