Title: The Pselaphinae (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae) of the Maltese Archipelago Authors: Sabella, Giorgio; Mifsud, David Abstract: Fourteen pselaphines are recorded from the Maltese Islands three of which are recorded for the first time: Rybaxis longicornis, Tychus jacquelinii, and T. pici. Tychus pici, a North African species that is so far known only from Algeria and Tunisia, is here recorded for the first time for the European territory. Locality and collecting data that were lacking for three other species recorded from Malta in the recently published catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera, is also provided. The record of Euplectus brunneus is incorrect and most likely should refer to E. corsicus. An illustrated dichotomous key is included to facilitate identification of Maltese pselaphines.

Title: First record of Spilomena mocsaryi Kohl, 1898 (Hymenoptera) from Malta with a check-list of Maltese Crabronidae Authors: Schmid-Egger, Christian; Dandria, David; Xuereb, Ezekiel Abstract: Until now the Crabronidae fauna of the Maltese Islands comprised 45 species in 5 subfamilies. Recently, one of us (EX) while studying insect visitors on flowers of Capparis orientalis found a new crabronid species from Malta, Spilomena mocsaryi Kohl, 1898. A check-list of the 46 species of Crabronidae so far recorded from the Maltese Islands is provided.

Title: Rediscovery of a rare gall on Rosa sempervirens induced by Diplolepis eglanteriae (Hartig, 1840) (Hymenoptera, Cynipidae) in Malta Authors: Mifsud, Stephen Abstract: Diplolepis eglanteriae is a cynipid wasp inducing characteristic smooth pea-like galls on Rosa sempervirens. The gall was first reported as occurring in Malta in 1926 at Buskett. During the present study, the presence of this gall was confirmed and although it was not found again in Buskett it was found in three other localities on Malta. Three chalcid parasitoids were found associated with these galls, namely Eupelmus (Macroneura) muellneri Ruschka, 1921 (Eupelmidae), Stepanovia eurytomae (Nees, 1834) (Eulophidae) and Pteromalus sp. near bedeguaris (Pteromalidae); the latter two are here recorded for the first time from the Maltese Islands.

Title: First record of the sawfly family Xyelidae (Hymenoptera) from Malta Authors: Liston, Andrew D.; Mifsud, David Abstract: Xyela cf. altenhoferi Blank, 2013 is recorded from Buskett (Malta). Its host is Pinus halepensis. This is the first species of the sawfly family Xyelidae to be found in the Maltese Islands.
