Abstract: Manoel Theatre and The Choral Society present the programme for their vocal and instrumental concert, conducted by Brian Schembri, and starring singers Antoinette Miggiani (soprano), Phyllis Bajada Abram (soprano), Lydia Caruana (soprano), Andrew Sapiano (tenor), Marie Thérèse Vassallo (mezzo soprano), Catherine Gauci (soprano), and Jimmy Mifsud (tenor). The concert featured the musical works Purcell and Telemann. The concert also featured a musical performance of the songs of the opera "Dido and Aeneas", composed by Purcell. The performance was held on the 9th of June, 1989, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.

Joseph Sammut, led by George Spiteri, and starring soloists Antoinette Miggiani (soprano), Marie Thérèse Vassallo (mezzo soprano), Joe Huber (tenor), Joe Fenech (baritone), and Joe Vella Bondin (bass). The concert also starred choir pianist Cynthia Genovese. The concert featured musical works from the operas of Carmelo Pace, Rossini, Verdi, Donizetti, Cilèa, Bellini, Puccini, and Ponchielli. The performance was held on the 21st of June, 1989, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
