The research was aiming to find differences in the intensity and scope of marketing activities in these two tested segments and major obstacles to the application of marketing principles in everyday commercial life of businesses, the values of competitive advantages, etc. The analysis of the size and structure of marketing communication agencies in the Czech Republic identifies the key requirements of marketing communication practice on the system and on the structure of university preparation for marketing communication professionals.2013-01-01T00:00:00ZManagement of receivables in SMEs in the Czech RepublicKubickova, DanaSoucek, Jiri/library/oar/handle/123456789/309892018-06-14T01:24:39Z2013-01-01T00:00:00ZTitle: Management of receivables in SMEs in the Czech Republic
Authors: Kubickova, Dana; Soucek, Jiri
Abstract: Management of receivables is an important component in the system of companies´ management. Management and the financial management and other theoretical disciplines provides many useful knowledge and recommendations about how to manage this area of companies activity, but there is only little knowledge of the conditions for their application in the SMEs and the ways how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) manage this area in real practice, which methods and forms they use for management and collection of receivables, how they secure their receivables, what problems they solve. The research among the Czech companies carried out of the University of Finance and Administration in Prague bring some interesting findings that may become the basis for recommendations on how to improve credit management system in these firms. Main weaknesses have been detected in the monitoring of solvency and financial position of business partners, in insufficient or none security of receivables, in insufficient law enforcement, in a limited use of sophisticated management practices, in co-operation with collecting agencies. The results of this research are presented in this article.2013-01-01T00:00:00ZFinancial management in SMEsJindrichovska, Irena/library/oar/handle/123456789/309882018-06-14T01:24:33Z2013-01-01T00:00:00ZTitle: Financial management in SMEs
Authors: Jindrichovska, Irena
Abstract: The principal goal of this paper is to review recent studies on small and medium sized companies in order to concentrate on the main critical issues of SMEs financial management. There are three core elements of financial management: (1) the question of liquidity management and cash flow management. Cash is company’s most precious nonhuman asset. (2) The question of long term asset acquisition – which directs the long term course of business. (3) Questions of funding, capital structure and cost of funding. The most imminent question is the liquidity management. A business will never see the long term if it cannot plan an appropriate policy to effectively manage its working capital. Generally, the poor financial management of owner-managers is the main cause underlying the problems of SMEs.2013-01-01T00:00:00ZExport potential of SMEs and Euro adoption in the Czech RepublicHelisek, Mojmir/library/oar/handle/123456789/309872018-06-14T01:24:40Z2013-01-01T00:00:00ZTitle: Export potential of SMEs and Euro adoption in the Czech Republic
Authors: Helisek, Mojmir
Abstract: The objective of this essay is to access the expected impact of the euro substitution for the Czech crown on exports of small and medium sized enterprises. The assessment has led to a theoretical definition of the transmission mechanism concerning the impact of the currency change on exports. It is the trade effect, transmitted through the elimination of certain transaction costs and exchange rate risk. This effect may also be promoted by the Rose Effect, specifically via SMEs. The Rose Effect is unlikely. This results from 1) currently high share of exports of SMEs in total export that corresponds to the share of GDP generated within the SME sector; 2) above-average share of Czech SMEs that export today.2013-01-01T00:00:00Z
