Authors: Rogojanu, Angela
Abstract: It is hard to explain why it is necessary to defend globalization even in the 21st
century. Why globalization becomes the necessary evil every twenty years? And why
there are plenty of organized movements against globalization, but no one for it?
Answering these questions has become a kind of strange sport, because there are a few
decent more than reasonable arguments that must be given every time globalization is
under attack, and maybe other argument can’t be invented. Nevertheless, it is of utmost
importance to be certain that people are able to find out these arguments and understand
them, even they describe some situations that are apparently unfavorable for some
people. However, the main cause of the continuing bombardment of globalization is in
fact its destroying effect on states authority. As long as we are heading to a more global
world, the power of governments over their modern subjects (not citizens as they wrongly
believe they are) is falling apart. This fact is felt by all those who take a benefit from
government protection and funding. As long as an individual can travel around the world
and choose where to stay easier than 50 years ago, it is more difficult for the state to tax
this citizen. And therefore, it is more difficult to provide funding to those who depend on
the state help (and are a source of political power).2007-01-01T00:00:00ZThe management of portfolio risk on the Romanian capital marketDalia, SimionToba, Daniel/library/oar/handle/123456789/318542018-07-18T01:29:47Z2007-01-01T00:00:00ZTitle: The management of portfolio risk on the Romanian capital market
Authors: Dalia, Simion; Toba, Daniel
Abstract: In a society strongly dependent and intensively industrialized such like the one
we live in, risk cannot be an isolated event, but the consequence of some facts that
determine its transfer from one point of the planet to another. As a result to the
general tendency of increasing the volatility of the financial markets but also to the
increasing complexity of the global financial system there was registered a continuous
interest in the domain of risk management.
Within the article there are being presented methods of reducing risk for
financial titles portfolio, coming to support the investors that want a greater security
when making the portfolio. We will further present the way in which diversity can
reduce risk, but at the same time in order to better understand the complete effect of
diversity we will show the way in which a portfolio risk depends on an individual risk
of each component title, exemplifying some titles quoted at Bucharest Stock Exchange.2007-01-01T00:00:00ZThe complexity of the living entity - a new paradigmPopescu, ConstantinRosca, IonLefter, ViorelCostea, CarmenTasnadi, AlexandruBadea, LianaStanciu, Miltiade/library/oar/handle/123456789/318222018-07-18T01:29:42Z2007-01-01T00:00:00ZTitle: The complexity of the living entity - a new paradigm

Abstract: The authors of this paper consider themselves as adepts of Adler’s theory
sustaining the idea that human beings cannot authentically progress outside the
acknowledgement of their feelings and interconnectedness for living and work activities
as parts of the whole society. Following this point of view, the achievement of all
necessities of life, inside the society, is a systemic process of consciousness supposing the
freedom as an assumed responsibility.
From this perspective, the humanity should switch from the knowledge based
society’s concepts to those of the application of assumed responsibility where scientific
knowledge becomes a must to knowing and evaluating the whole living soundness at any
level (individuals, family, official entities and authorities, communities, environment). We
will use the term of network effect generated by the communication for the whole living of
the national academic society facing deep challenges and transformations. This way we
intend to promote the re-spiritualization of the education under a national program, so
that the durable change be produced and proved, from the inside to the outside of our
daily societal life .
Working on a model to set up a new way to measuring the soundness of any whole
living, we are applying the model to determine the soundness of an university; to
understand the evolution of the whole it is necessary to study the evolution and reaction
of its components.2007-01-01T00:00:00Z
