Abstract: In IL-MERILL (no. 15 for Jan.-June 1975) we reported the occurrence of the Tristram's Warbler (Sylvia deserticola) in Malta on 8th March 1974. However in an attached slip to the same issue, we pointed out "that the date of occurrence
of the Tristram's Warbler has proved uncertain beyond the fact that it was in 1974". We promised a fuller presentation of available facts in a future issue of IL-MERILL. Abstract: During 1974 the Group was initially composed of seven ringers: S. Borg, C. Ganci. T. Gauci, B.K. German, J. Grech, J. Sultana and V. Vella Muscat. V. Cilia obtained his permit in August, while three active trainees - J. Azzopardi, M.V. Ganci and C.A. Pomeroy completed their training late in the year and received their permits in December bringing the total number of ringers to eleven.
