Abstract: "The son of man came not to be served but to serve" (Mk 10,45). Jesus
himself gave us an example of authentic diakonia. By his baptism in the river
Jordan by John the Baptist he descended into the mud of the river, he became
misery for us. At the last supper he himself washed the feet of the apostles.
He taught the great parable of diakonia in the story of the Good Samaritan.
Therefore Jesus true God and true man lived and taught this diakonia.2009-01-01T00:00:00ZMelita Theologica : volume 60 : issue 2/library/oar/handle/123456789/326882018-08-15T01:33:10Z2009-01-01T00:00:00ZTitle: Melita Theologica : volume 60 : issue 2

Abstract: Whereas the dominant view of Paul in the 1940s and 1950s was as a systematic
theologian, it is now widely remembered that the original primary purpose of his
letters was as the work of a Christian leader engaged in developmental mutual
upbuilding within the churches. In seeking to explore the matter of the occasional
and the perennial in Paul's letters, this paper will address the question with special
reference to 2 Corinthians. We will begin by assessing whether or not 2 Corinthians
is a composite text, since it is essential to know what sort of document we are
dealing with. We will next examine the text of 2 Corinthians in terms of the major
issues which Paul deals with there, and then look at one antithesis which does not
seem to have been drawn out before, namely Paul's use of Old Testament prophetic
material versus his seeming use of material from Christian liturgy, before reaching
a series of conclusions.2009-01-01T00:00:00ZL-ekonomija fi djalogu mal-bniedem : riflessjonijiet fl-isfont ta' "Caritas in Veritate"/library/oar/handle/123456789/326722023-01-02T07:49:21Z2009-01-01T00:00:00ZTitle: L-ekonomija fi djalogu mal-bniedem : riflessjonijiet fl-isfont ta' "Caritas in Veritate"
Abstract: Fl-aħħar Enċiċlika tiegħu Caritas in Veritate (l-Imħabba fil-Verita), il-Papa
Benedittu XVI għamel hafna referenzi sbieh fuq ir-relazzjoni bejn l-ekonomija
u t-tagħlim soċjali tal-Knisja. Il-Papa semma ħafna aspetti mportanti fil-ħajja
ekonomika fid-dinja tal-Ium u kif dawn jidhru fil-lenti tat-tagħlim soċjali tal-Knisja.
L-Enċiċlika Caritas in Veritate tkompli tibni fuq l-Enċiċlika tal-Papa Pawlu VI
Populorum Progressio u tmiss temi fundamentali bħal ġustizzja u l-ġid komuni,
l-iżvilupp sħiħ tal-bniedem, u d-diżugwaljanzi bejn l-għana u l-faqar fid-dinja.
Naħseb li wieħed irid jaqra din I-Enċiċlika Caritas in Veritate aktar minn darba
biex veru japprezza r-rikkezza tal-ħsibijiet profondi ta' ġo fiha u s-sbuħija tat-tagħlim
soċjali tal-Knisja.2009-01-01T00:00:00Z
