This article describes the use of a new device for beat-to-beat blood pressure monitoring combined with impedance cardiography in a 12-year-old girl during tilt testing. A seven seconds asystolia was provoked. The haemodynamic parameters showed clearly the drop in heart rate as well as in cardiac output, and returned to normal values after tilting back the patient. With the help of this new monitoring device, the sensitivity and specificity of head-up-tilt-testing can probably be improved. 2005-01-01T00:00:00Z Stent implantation for coarctation facilitated by the anterograde trans-septal approach /library/oar/handle/123456789/3994 Title: Stent implantation for coarctation facilitated by the anterograde trans-septal approach Authors: Sreeram, Narayanswami; DeGiovanni, Joseph V. Abstract: This article includes a case report of women with coarctation of the aorta which was treated with stent implantation. 2005-01-01T00:00:00Z Stenting of the aortic arch as an emergency palliation of aortic dissection after cardiac surgery in an infant /library/oar/handle/123456789/3993 Title: Stenting of the aortic arch as an emergency palliation of aortic dissection after cardiac surgery in an infant Authors: Emmel, Matthias Alexander; Sreeram, Narayanswami; Brockmeier, Konrad Abstract: Aortic dissection with low cardiac output is an acute emergency and immediate therapy is mandatory. It is however a disease of the elderly. This article reports on an infant who developed acute aortic dissection following cardiac surgery, for whom stent implantation was performed. 2005-01-01T00:00:00Z
