Abstract: This patient (born in 1983) had presented in childhood with coarctation. He had had subclavian flap repair at 1½ years of age. Referring to one of the patients, cross-sectional imaging demonstrated a massive pericardial effusion. The underlying etiology here was connective tissue disease causing recurrent pericardial effusion. An associated left-sided pleural effusion was noted.
