Plant-galls are caused by different organisms such as bacteria, protozoans, fungi, nematodes, mites and insects. Insect orders, such as Thysanoptera, Hemiptera, Hymenoptera, Diptera, Coleoptera and Lepidoptera are among those known to cause galls in plants.
