He was educated at St Aloysius College. In 1961 he became the first and only Maltese disc-jockey with the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS). In 1964 Norman Hamilton he was employed as a programme producer and presenter with Central Office of ¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÃâ·Ñ in London. Between 1967 and 1973 he was the originator and presenter of the first-ever live breakfast show on Rediffussion and Radio Malta. Mizzi was also well known for many years as a member and later chairman of the Broadcasting Authority. Born in Valletta on 6 May 1923 and studied at St Augustine College in Valletta, Galdes started performing in plays at a young age, while he was a member of the Catholic Action and the Society for Christian Doctrine. During the war he served as wireless operator for the Royal Air Force. After the war he joined the International Radio as presenter. A few years later he joined Redifussion. While working full-time with the Rediffusion Victor Galdes studied radio production at the BBC in London.
