The Department of Statistics & Operations Research was founded in May 1997 and is housed in the Mathematics & Physics building on the University of Malta campus. Since inception, the Department has dedicated its efforts to the promotion of the academic disciplines of Probability, Statistics and Operations Research through instruction, research activities and publicity.
