| Abstract: | The Manoel Theatre presents the programme for the 3-act tragic opera "La Traviata", written by Francesco Maria Piave, with music composed by Giuseppe Verdi, and artistically directed by Narcy Calamatta, with musical direction from Mro. Joseph Sammut. The opera, which was produced by A. Agius Ferrante, featured musical performances from the Manoel Theatre Orchestra (led by George Spiteri) and the Manoel Theatre Choir (led by choirmaster Mro. Joseph Sammut). The performance also featured choreography created by Felix Busuttil. The performance was held on the 24th and the 25th of May, and on the 1st of June, 1986, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
