| Abstract: | An analytical model of mode-locked laser operation is presented, centred around the concept of attaining phase control. To explore this theoretically, a non-linear treatment of laser dynamics was adopted. Through this approach, phase control through tuning was found to be possible and, the limits of this control were tested in relation to their effect on the pulse repetition rate. |
