Event: The University of Malta Research Expo 2023
Date: Wednesday 17 May 2023
Time: 9:00-16:30
Venue: University of Malta, Valletta Campus
The University of Malta Research Expo 2023 (UMRE23) is going to be held on 17 May 2023 at Valletta Campus. The aim of this day-long event is to provide an opportunity for University of Malta (UM) academics and researchers to showcase their research activities to the wider UM community, to encourage the sharing and cross-pollination of ideas, and to celebrate the successes we have achieved thus far. It is also an ideal occasion for demonstrating the abundant amount of research being carried out at the UM across diverse areas of discipline.
Apart from highlighting the research being conducted by academics and researchers, UMRE23 will also incorporate the traditional Doctoral School Symposium - allowing us to also celebrate the up-and-coming research of doctoral students. The event will include sessions consisting of short pitches (5 minute presentation + 5 minute Q&A) and sessions in the traditional Doctoral Researchers Symposium format (15 minute presentation + 5 minute Q&A). A dedicated poster session will also be included.
UMRE23 will also feature a keynote address by Prof. Helle Merete Nordentoft (Aarhus University, Denmark) who will be talking about Collective Academic Supervision: Diversity as a driver for learning.
In order to attend UMRE23, you are kindly asked to fill in this online registration form by not later than noon on Friday 12 May 2023. Please note that registrations may close earlier if the maximum number of participants is reached, thus registering promptly is essential.
