This first Road-STEAMer Co-Creation workshop titled “Creating STEAMwaves: Artistic Approaches and Best Practices for Youth Engagement” is aimed at all local STEAM educators, teachers, and practitioners who are eager to explore innovative and artistic approaches to STEAM education in Malta. The event revolves around the fusion of art and science in education, highlighting how artistic approaches can enhance engagement and foster creativity among learners. Whether you are an experienced educator seeking fresh ideas or a newcomer looking to enhance your teaching skills, this workshop promises valuable insights and practical strategies to empower you in the realm of STEAM education.
After a brief introduction of the Road-STEAMer project by , guest STEAM experts Stephanos Cherouvis from ECSITE, from University of Malta and Chrysoula Mitta from the Lisbon Council will talk about their experiences running STEAM projects using artistic and other approaches.
They will share their best practices and existing solutions on STEAM education, which is followed by a World Cafe session that allows participants to share their own experiences and discuss the implementation of STEAM education during hands-on group activities. The workshop is concluded with a STEAM Clinic, where attendees can receive personalised guidance on incorporating creative pedagogies and artistic approaches into their own STEM activities.
