Four lecturers from 臓. F. Abela Junior College visited O.R.S. Lek en Linge School in Culemborg, the Netherlands between 14 and 16 April 2026, as part of an Erasmus+ job shadowing exchange programme between staff. The three-day event included a team of educators from Italy, Malta, Norway and the Netherlands.
The experience included a tour of the school premises followed by engaging classroom observations and workshops on formative assessment design. The participants had the opportunity to interact with teachers and students, gaining valuable insights into Dutch educational practices and school culture.
Highlights included a visit to Culemborg and the city of Leiden, where the participants visited the Rijksmuseum Boerhaave, a museum dedicated to the history of Science and Medicine.
The visit fostered professional exchange, cultural appreciation, and deeper insight into the Dutch educational and historical heritage. Attendees included Ms Rona La Bella (Mathematics), Ms Antonia Vella (Physics), Dr Christina Zarb (Mathematics), and Ms Patricia Zerafa (Environmental Science).
