As announced by the National Book Council, the winning submissions for the Malta Book Fund 2020 have been chosen, and among these are a number of publications written or translated by members of the University of Malta.
The winning projects were chosen according to a set of pre-determined criteria, chief among which was the cultural value of the proposed publication.
The publications by UM staff members are:
- Scratches and God, and Some Lies - a study of Josef Kalleya's unpublished sketches by Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci, by
- Translation into Maltese of Concerto a' la memoired'un ange (2010) and Voyage au Pays des Arbres (1978), by
- Translation of the book La Chute by Albert Camus, by
- Translation of The Wizard's Wonder, by
- Instrument Building and Musical Culture in Seventeenth-Century Malta, by
- Art Nouveau in Malta: Architecture in Malta during InterWar Years 1920/30s, by
- The Visual Culture of Death in Malta in a Time of Plague: 1675- 1814, by
