Hosted by Prof. Suzanne Piscopo, FDC Chairperson, the seminar was divided into three parts. The first presentation was of an administrative nature, where Mr David Pisani, Faculty Manager, explained the requirements and procedure for the transfer from MPhil to PhD.
The main keynote speeches then tackled two diverse research studies, whilst also giving practical tips on the PhD journey. The first Keynote speaker, , presented her doctoral research Boys and Early Literacy Learning in Three Maltese State Schools: The Challenges and Opportunities of a Doctoral Journey. As the second keynote speaker, Dr Pen Lister presented her research titled A Doctoral Investigation into Smart Learning. Both these thought-provoking presentations were followed by questions and comments from the floor.
