Do you want to make your ideas happen? Network with like-minded individuals? Meet some of the world’s entrepreneurial leaders? If so, a new competition called ITEK Malta Startup Competition is being launched by TAKEOFF, CEBI and KTO (University of Malta, with the support the Ministry for Competitiveness and Digital, Maritime and ¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÃâ·Ñ Economy). The winner will be awarded a fully-paid trip to The Global Entrepreneurship Congress in 16–19 April 2018 in Istanbul, and free space and mentorship for 12 months at the TAKEOFF Business Incubator.
Applicants are being asked to develop and pitch their business idea in a disruptive IT-enabled sector. World famous examples include the Internet of things, work automation, cloud services and tools, mobile Internet, autonomous vehicles, mobile gaming, innovative apps and others.
ITEK Malta is open to all residents with a Maltese ID card who have an idea for a disruptive IT-enabled business. The competition closes on 31 May, and the ideas will be pitched at the Digital Assembly 2017 on 15 June.
An information session will be held at 10:00, Saturday 13 May (Events Room, Level 2, TAKEOFF Business Incubator, Dar Giuseppe Zahra, University of Malta, Msida Campus) to help applicants with their ideas.
