Il-Politika fil-Films (Politics in Films) is a new radio series that focuses on cinematographic productions that are characterised by political connotations, including freedom, social classes, bioethics, social conflict, environment, economy and imperialism. Selected films embrace both classical works as well as contemporary ones. In every programme political scientists and sociologists explore a specific theme in the context of the original soundtrack of the selected production.
Il-Politika fil-Films is a radio production by the Department of Public Policy at the University of Malta and is researched and presented by Dr Mario Thomas Vassallo. It is specifically targeted to all those who love cinema and like to discuss politics and public affairs.
This new series of 17 one-hour programmes, which starts in first week of February, is aired on Campus FM (103.7FM) every Tuesdays at 20:00 and repeated on Thursdays at 10:00.
