3. Blue BioEconomy Cofund
The goal of this co-funded call is to identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from Blue BioEconomy.

4. PRIMA - Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean area
The goal of PRIMA is to build research and innovation capacities and to develop knowledge and common innovative solutions for agro-food systems and for integrated water provision and management in the Mediterranean Area. Malta has been involved in 2 projects which have been selected for funding under the previous call - Zeroparasitic - "Innovative sustainable solutions for broomrapes: prevention and integrated pest management approaches to overcome parasitism in Mediterranean cropping systems" and SIMTAP - "Self-sufficient Integrated Multi-Trophic AquaPonic systems for improving food production sustainability and brackish water use and recycling". This call will open in March 2019. The Space Research Fund continues to provide financial support for research, development and innovation in the downstream Satellite Earth Observation (EO) sector, specifically projects that deal with the processing and exploitation of data collected through EO satellites. The call is open to all Maltese Legal Entities.
Erasmus+ 2019 call for proposals
The Erasmus+ 2019 call for proposals has now been published! Erasmus+ is the main funding programme for Education of the EU. The programme is split into 3 Key Actions:
Key Action 1:
Mobility of Individuals in the field of Education, Training and Youth
These projects include student and staff mobility within programme (EU countries) and between programme and partner countries (non-EU countries). Annual proposals are handled by the UM international office, whereby staff are invited to apply for teaching and training mobilities.
Key Action 2:
Strategic Partnerships in the field of Education, Training and Youth
These support innovation in the sector as well as joint initiatives to promote cooperation, peer learning and the sharing of experience.

Marie Sk艂odowska Curie Actions (MSCA)
Would you like to learn more about the revamped Marie Sk艂odowska-Curie actions? Searching for bottom-up research funding and host a post-doc researcher? Are you a research institution/company looking for partnership with academia in third countries as well as industry? The following call for proposals are currently open:
MSCA Individual Fellowships (IF): Are you a post-doc researcher living anywhere in the world and looking for a research experience in Malta? Are you a UM Academic who is welcoming post-docs for carrying out research projects, contributing their unique expertise and maximising the use of your expertise and infrastructure? If so this programme is for you! Fellowships are available for up to two years and cover the salary of the researcher, mobility and family allowances, training and research costs and management costs. These fellowships may also include a secondment period of up to three or six months in another organisation in Europe. Proposals are submitted by the researcher jointly with the UM academic. RSSD in collaboration with MCST is offering support in sourcing international researchers through advertising on the Net4mobility network. Please contact us for more information.
