Power cut: Friday 17 July - 21 July 2026
The electrical distrubition boards in the Lecture Centre are in the process of being replaced, and this will require a few days of power interruption.
The works have been scheduled for July, with part of the project taking place over a Saturday and Sunday to minimise disruption to University operations as much as possible.
Power will be switched off at 14:00 on Friday, 17 July, and will be restored at 06:00 on Tuesday, 21 July.
The following locations will be affected.
- Chemistry Building
- Dar Ä użeppi Zahra (DÄ Z) / TAKEOFF Business Incubator
- Dun Mikiel Xerri Lecture Centre (LC) including LT1 and LT2
- Engineering Research and Innovation Labs (ERIL)
- Ir-Razzett tal-Ħursun
- Library & Library Basement
- MAKS Building (MAKS)
- Maths & Physics Building
- Metallurgy & Materials Engineering (Old Building)
- Nature Trust Office (Car Park 1)
- Portacabins C (Car Park 3)
- Science Lecture Theatre - John Borg Hall (SLT)
- Stores Car Park 1 (including flood lights)
