On 20 December 2025, H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, received Prof. Carmel Borg, Dr Karen Mugliett, and Dr Charmaine Bonello at the San Anton Palace for a courtesy visit.

During the meeting, Prof. Borg expressed his gratitude to Her Excellency for her generous patronage of the National Forum on the Professionalisation of Adult Educators and Trainers in Malta, co-convened by Prof. Borg and Dr Maria Brown, which was held at Verdala Castle on 13 November 2025.

On the same occasion, Prof. Borg and Dr Charmaine Bonello presented their edited MRER anniversary publication - Building Knowledge, Inspiring Practice. MRER at 20.

Furthermore, Dr Karen Mugliett, representing the Dean, presented a donation of €450 on behalf of the Faculty of Education in support of the Malta Community Chest Fund.
