Two UM academics present current research on Spectral Graph Theory and Operators

Between 4 and 8 May 2026, two academics from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Malta, namely Senior Research Fellow Prof. Irene Schiriha and her colleague Dr James L. Borg, will be representing our University at Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, at the .

They will present their current research on Spectral Graph Theory and Operators (see ).

The Computers in Scientific Discovery (CSD) conference series is designed to bring together researchers whose work makes connections between mathematics, computer science, and natural sciences.

The main theme of the 11th CSD conference is ‘Computationally Intensive Methods in Mathematics: Applications in Chemistry and Beyond’.

Prof. Schiriha has also been appointed as a member of the Scientific Committee of the CSD11 Conference.
