The Department of Early Childhood and Primary Education within the Faculty of Education proudly welcomed the first cohort of students enrolled in the new Master in Early Childhood Education and Care (MA ECEC) programme.
On the 3rd and 4th of October 2025, the inaugural group of nine, committed professionals commenced their studies with an intensive two-day block of lectures and collaborative workshops, marking the beginning of a transformative learning journey.
This three-year, part-time blended programme, coordinated by Dr Josephine Deguara, is designed to foster reflective practice, pedagogical leadership, and advanced professional expertise in the field of early childhood education and care. It aims to empower participants to become agents of change, capable of shaping and leading high-quality practices in diverse early childhood contexts.
The Department extends its warmest congratulations to the first MA ECEC cohort as they embark on this exciting chapter of professional growth, inquiry, and transformation.
