Danielle embarked on her journey with the University of Malta as a clerk in January 2000. She was responsible for the day-to-day administration of various departments within the University of Malta, namely the Dean’s Office, Department of Medicine and Paediatrics and the various committees of the Faculty of Medicine & Surgery. She was also part of organising teams for several conferences organised by the Medical School during the years. In November 2007, she ascended to the position of Executive Officer, followed by another significant advancement in January 2010, when she assumed the role of Administrative Assistant at the Office for Human Resources Management & Development. In July 2012, Danielle transitioned to the Project Support Office. She managed daily office logistics and administrative tasks, handled quotations and requisitions, approved time sheets and journal transfers, overseed sub-projects post-closure, and addressed inquiries. Additionally, she managed inventory, coordinated internal meetings and supported Senior management and Project Support officers. In January 2016, Danielle was promoted to Senior Administrator. Subsequently, in June 2016, she assumed the role of Personal Assistant to the Pro-Rector for Academic Affairs at the Pro-Rector's Office, also serving as Secretary to the Visiting Lecturers and External Examiners Committee. In the Pro-Rector's Office, she serves as the primary point of contact, handling correspondence, calls, and emails. Her present duties include managing the Pro-Rector's schedule, arranging meetings, travel, and accommodations, as well as organising events and managing meeting logistics. Additionally, she undertakes minute-taking, document organisation, filing, and provides administrative support to the Visiting Lecturers and External Examiners Committee.
