Dr. Lucianne Zammit is a resident academic at the Faculty of Education. She earned her Ph.D. from UCL Institute of Education, specialising in promoting the responsible use of technology in schools. Prior to her tenure as a lecturer, she served as an Education Officer at the Maltese Ministry of Education, where she was responsible for developing curricula, national assessments and leading teacher training initiatives. She has been instrumental in the introduction of Ethics in Maltese schools. Her work includes developing curricular resources, drafting syllabi, drafting national assessments and providing continuous professional development for teachers.
She coordinates the Master’s in Teaching and Learning (Ethics) and the PGCE in the Teaching of Ethics in Schools. She is also the Chairperson of the Teaching Ethics in Schools Platform and the Deputy Chairperson of the Faculty Research Ethics Committee.
Her research interests include Ethics in Schools, Philosophy for Children, Digital Ethics, the Ethics of AI, PSCD, Digital Citizenship and assessment.
