Margaret Mangion holds a Doctorate in Social Sciences from the University of Leicester (UK), an MBA from Maastricht School of Management (Netherlands), a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Malta. She is an Associate Professor and Director at The Edward de Bono Institute for Creative Thinking and Innovation at the University of Malta, where she has been teaching creativity, innovation, and leadership since 2012. She represents Malta as an ambassador for World Creativity and Innovation Week/Day events, coordinating various creativity-related initiatives both at the University of Malta and within the wider community. She is a Board Member and Secretary of the International Society for the Study of Creativity and Innovation (ISSCI), and a member of the Possibility Studies Network, the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society for Neuroscience of Creativity (SfNC), the Serendipity Society, and the Malta Chamber of Commerce. She has lectured on creativity and innovation at the University of Malta as well as at higher education institutions abroad. She is also frequently invited to deliver workshops at universities and organisations overseas. Her research focuses on creativity and has been published in various peer-reviewed outlets, including journal articles, conference proceedings, and edited volumes. She also serves on the Editorial and Advisory Boards of several reputable international academic journals. In addition to her academic background, she has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.
