The Deep-FIR project has been featured in February 5th’s edition of The Sunday Times of Malta! The article may also be viewed online .
Titled ‘The use of AI for image restoration‘, the article provides a high-level overview of super-resolution and the research that was done in the Deep-FIR project at the University of Malta.
The event, held on Sunday 4th December at the Montekristo Estate, saw a number of robots designed and built by IEEE Student branch members with the aim of promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The talk provided an overview of super-resolution and the Deep-FIR project, along with examples of applications and super-resolved images. A number of interesting questions were also taken from the audience, including by younger attendees.
We at Deep-FIR thank you for attending the talk, and look forward to meeting you at any other future events! These will be advertised on this website, on the project’s , and on the project’s , so make sure to follow any one (or all!) of these to get notified of any such events and other news related to the project.
An article serving as a continuation of last week’s article has been published on LinkedIn, where a more in-depth discussion on the issues in super-resolution is provided.
