
Prof. Anna Borg is a senior lecturer and the former Director of Centre for Labour Studies at the University of Malta.
She is an experienced researcher in matters relating to gender equality between women and men in the labour market. Her main research interest focuses on Work-life issues using theories of Gendered Organisations and theories of Hegemonic Masculinity. She has an interest in Gender and Social Policy issues; the issue of the Gender Pay Gap (GPG); Flexible Work Arrangements (FWAs) and Childcare, amongst others.
She is the Coordinator of the Honours Degree Course in Work and Human Resources (HR) and the Diploma in Gender, Work and Society.

Professor Vincent Cassar is Head of the Department of Business & Enterprise Management at FEMA. He has held Visiting Scholarship positions at the University of Zagreb (Croatia) and Wroclaw University of Economics (Poland) and was Honorary Teaching Fellow at Birkbeck College (University of London) between 2002 and 2016. He has presented and published his studies in several peer-reviewed journals like Work & Stress, European Journal of Management, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and the International Journal of HRM. His research includes the psychological contract, occupational health and stress and evidence-based management in particular decision-making under uncertainty and HR-data driven processes.

Prof Josann Cutajar is the Head of Department of Gender and Sexualities, Faculty of Social Wellbeing, University of Malta. Her research and activism focus on social justice and community development. In 2020 she became the chairperson of the university’s Gender Equality and Sexual Diversity Committee. From 2017 to 2020 she was the national coordinator of the Consultative Council for Women’s Rights which fell under the Ministry for European Affairs and Equality. When it comes to EU projects, she was involved in GEPARD (Erasmus+), GenderAction (GA741466), and EQUAL (REP-831630). She has also been involved in mutual learning workshops relating to CASPER and the SEA-EU alliance. She is the author and editor of a number of books, chapters and reports. In 2013 as the Director of the University of Malta's Cottonera Resource Centre, she was awarded the 2016 EPALE award for community engagement.

Dr Stephanie Fabri is an economist by profession, specializing in strategic management and public policy. Throughout her career she has been involved in various studies for Government-led projects and private sector entities. Dr. Fabri read for her PhD at the University of Warwick where her dissertation looked at strategic management in British companies through the application of applied mathematical models used in Artificial Intelligence (fuzzy-logic methods) to the social sciences. In 2019, she joined the Department of Business & Enterprise Management at the University of Malta as a full-time academic. To date, she sits on various boards of public and private sector entities including the Malta Stock Exchange plc., the Environment and Resources Authority, the Malta Fiscal Advisory Council, IZI Finance plc., and Epic Communications Ltd.

Prof. Valerie Heffernan is a Professor of Literary and Cultural Studies and convenor of the . Her research interests include literary and cultural portrayals of mothers, mothering and motherhood, with a particular focus on maternal regret. She has two recent publications on this topic: a co-authored article (with Katherine Stone) entitled ’, which appeared in Signs. Journal of Women in Culture and Society 46/2: 337-360; and a book chapter (also with Katherine Stone) entitled , in: Women’s Lived Experiences of the Gender Gap, ed. by A. Fitzgerald, Sustainable Development Goals, Singapore: Springer, 121-133. Heffernan is also co-editor (with Gay Wilgus) of Imagining Motherhood in the Twenty-first Century (Routledge, 2021).

Dr Jennifer O' Mahoney is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the South East Technological University in Waterford, and a Chartered Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland. As the Co-Director of the Crime and Justice Research Group at Waterford Institute of Technology and a Senior Researcher at INSYTE (The Centre for 福利在线免费 Systems and Techno-culture) at SETU, she actively contributes to a participant-focused research agenda aimed at fostering social change. Jennifer's research revolves around the narration of victimology and trauma, exploring the interplay between memory, social change, and the digital humanities. She is the primary investigator for the Waterford Memories Project, which examines historical institutional abuse in Ireland. With a background in narrative psychology, Jennifer emphasizes the significance of personal stories during times of trauma. Additionally, Jennifer actively engages in international collaboration on research projects examining sexual violence and trauma narratives. In her latest publications, Jennifer explores the intersection of social change, digital humanities, and storytelling. She examines how technology serves as a dual force – acting as a catalyst for social change while simultaneously contributing to the exclusion and marginalization of certain groups in society in a dynamic process. Jennifer is dedicated to making academic research accessible and comprehensible to the public, addressing societal issues and platforming marginalized voices.
