5. Responsibilities of the Client
5.1 The term client signifies anyone who attended the first session, be it an intake session, an urgent consultation, or another type of intervention; excluding group and staff training sessions.
5.2 The client is asked to respect the anonymity of other clients at the Unit.
5.3 The client is expected to be punctual for sessions. If the client is 15 minutes late, the session might be shortened or cancelled.
5.4 The client is to inform the Unit at least 24 hours before if a session needs to be cancelled or rescheduled. If a session is missed without a 24-hour notice, that session is deducted from the maximum of 15 sessions allocated.
5.5 Appointments are the client鈥檚 responsibility. This includes diarising and remembering them.
5.6 Two (2) no shows and/or three (3) sessions rescheduled by the client will result in termination of this agreement. Termination means that availability for the respective intervention would be after a year.
5.7 Sessions are to be used solely for health and wellbeing purposes. Counselling 福利在线免费 are not to be used for court purposes. If the respective professional becomes aware that a client intends to use the services for purposes other than health and wellbeing, the professional reserves the right to terminate services.
5.8 The client is to be sober and not under the influence of any substance for the session.
5.9 Any aggressive, threatening or violent behaviour will not be tolerated. This may lead to the termination of this Agreement.
5.10 If the client feels the need to complain about the services, they are asked to follow the informal and/or formal complaints procedures.
5.11 When the client intends to stop accessing the service, or if the client is no longer part of the University of Malta, they are to inform the Counselling unit so that a way forward can be determined and interventions can be terminated.
These sessions are being provided in the Maltese territory and are subject to the Laws of Malta.
