The Faculty of Health Sciences celebrates the Dean’s Awards at the end of each academic year. This event recognizes the efforts, achievements, and accomplishments of undergraduate students following courses at the Faculty of Health Sciences, through the Dean's Award for Academic Achievement and, more recently, through the Dean's Award for Greatest Academic Improvement. The Faculty also plans to extend the awards to recognize altruistic participation of students in the community at large.
Academics, clinical mentors, members of the administrative and technical staff are also acknowledged for their work commitment, as perceived by Faculty students. Student are asked to nominate staff members who they consider to have nurtured a positive influence on their lives at the UM.
