Abstract: Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the world which affects both males and females. It involves a group of viruses known as the human papillomaviruses which constitute the ability to form warts on the skin and genital area. Of particular important, HPV was also shown to cause cancer of the reproductive organs, cervix and throat, in select cases.
