| Abstract: | This thesis is about action scenes in animation and the comparison of live action and animation. This dissertation aims to give a look into the creation of an action scene or in this case, a fight scene. Comparing animation and live action provides a good understanding of the differences between these two mediums and about their similarities as well. This project provides a good basic understanding of film language, composition, framing, along with animation specific principles. The practical project provides a better context for the material and principles referenced by giving two different screenplay examples of how this modification can change the feel of the entire scene. |
