Abstract: This research study examines women's attitudes towards work, in a residential home for persons with disabilities. It is a comparative study between higher and lower educated women. This was done by means of ten in-depth interviews. Special consideration is given to family responsibilities, childcare, job satisfaction, work environment and values of work. The aim is to uncover the differences in attitudes between women with tertiary education, and others with secondary education, and whether women are motivated in their work. Recommendations of policies and measures intended to facilitate women's entry in the labour market conclude this dissertation.
