| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and Valletta Dramatic Company (V.D.C.) presents the programme for the 3-act operetta "Il Paese dei Campanelli", written by Carlo Lombardo, with music composed by Carlo Lombardo and Virgilio Ranzato. The operetta was translated into Maltese by Joe Brincat, and directed by George Micallef. The operetta performance featured music arranged by Mro. Twanny Chircop, which was performed by an orchestra conducted by Mro. Archibald Mizzi and led George Spiteri. The performance also featured dance choreography created by Doreen Fenech performed by dancers from the YADA Dance Company. The performance was held from the 14th till the 17th, and on the 23rd and the 24th of January, 1988, at the Manoel theatre in Valletta. |
