Abstract: Manoel Theatre, in collaboration with the National Tourism Organisation, presents the programme for the multimedia interpretation of Malta's heritage "Stone Can Sing", directed by John J. Schranz (who also organised text and montage in the event), and narrated by Marlene Psaila and Charles Arrigo. The event featured musical performances of Maltese church music and opera music from the Manoel Theatre Orchestra, which were conducted by Mro. Joseph Vella, Mro. Joseph Sammut, and Mro. Charles Camilleri at different points of the event. The event also featured a musical performance from the St Julian's Choir (directed by Rev. John Galea, and dance performances from the dance groups "Il-°­´Ç°ù³Ù¾±Ä¡Âá²¹²Ô¾±" and the Tanya Bayona Dance Ensemble. The event was held on the occasion of the presentation of the Golden Plume Awards, on the 4th of June, 1988, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Two copies of programme included, one with participants' signatures, and the other without. Both programmes include list of featured items including featured composers and performers where applicable, list of crew, essay on Maltese history including related photos and list of annotations for them, photos of featured participants in the event, lists of members of the Manoel Theatre Orchestra, Il-°­´Ç°ù³Ù¾±Ä¡Âá²¹²Ô¾±, Tanya Bayona Dance Ensemble and St Julian's Choir, and list of acknowledgements from the Manoel Theatre Management Committee.
