Abstract: The key problem for the private and institutional investor is knowing how to enhance the value of an investment whilst minimising the risks involved. Some investors rely solely on bank deposit accounts although history shows that over the longer term, the value of these investments has tended to fall in real terms taking inflation into account. In today's rapidly changing economic and political environment, the successful management of an investment portfolio demands constant supervision and accurate information. The creation of an international equity fund should in the medium to long term offer higher rewards than any bank deposit. This study deals with the creation of a Fund of Funds in which the Manager analysis a number of investment schemes of other fund managers who specialise in particular geographical areas. By doing so the Fund of Funds should benefit by gaining a higher return at lower risk. The rationale is that if you are going to invest your savings in a scheme, you might as well chose a good one.
