| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and Valletta Dramatic Company present the programme for an "Operetta Evening", featuring performances of scenes, dances and songs from the following operettas: "La Vedova Allegra", "Il Paese dei Campagnelli", "Il Paese del Sorriso", "Scugnizza", "Al Cavallino Bianco", and "Cin Ci La". The event was artistically directed by George Micallef, and musically directed by Mro. Archibald Mizzi. The event featured choreography created by Alison White, which was performed by the Alison White Dancers. The event also starred singers Karen Camilleri (soprano), Robert Scalpello (tenor), Ruth Sammut (soprano), and Andrew Sapiano (tenor). The performance was held on the 14th and the 15th of May, 1994, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
