Abstract: The objective of this research was to study the phenomenon of blogging and its role in the process of travel planning through the development of user-generated content (UGC), with a theoretical framework concentrated on the properties of UGC, specifically, blogs and their benefits towards other sources of information. The link between tourism and film tourism was also researched. To achieve the best results, in-depth interviews with experienced managers from both the tourism and filming industries were conducted, and web-based questionnaires were distributed accordingly. Research and data for this study was collected through the literature review, and the empirical part of this research was implemented by using qualitative research methods to gather in-depth insights of the topic being researched, with the qualitative method tools being in-depth interviews and web-based questionnaires.
